The short version
The Little Big Days is a private journal. Your entries are yours. We don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, we don't read your moments. Here's what we collect, why, and how to get rid of it if you ever want to.
What we collect
When you create an account:
- You sign in with Sign in with Apple. Apple verifies who you are and shares your name and an email address with us. We never create, see, or store a password.
- Your first name and your partner's first name (so the app can greet you and personalize your story).
When you use the app:
- The journal entries you write
- The photos you upload
- The dates and timestamps of your entries
- (If you use the Memory Jar) submissions from people you invite
When you pay:
- Purchases are processed by Apple's In-App Purchase system — Apple handles your payment method, not us.
- We use RevenueCat to confirm your purchase and unlock the app — we receive a transaction confirmation, never your card number.
- We never see, store, or transmit your payment details.
What we do with it
- Show you your own journal
- Email you account-related things (like purchase receipts) — never marketing without your permission
- Improve the app based on aggregate, anonymous patterns
That's it. We don't sell, share, or rent your data. Ever.
Who can see your entries
Only you. Your journal is private by default. The only exception: people you specifically invite to your Memory Jar can submit photos and notes to you (they can't see your full journal).
Your rights
- Delete your account and all your data (Settings → delete account, or email us)
- Ask us what data we have on you, and request a copy
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Opt out of any future emails
If you're in California (CCPA) or the EU (GDPR), you have additional legal rights — email us and we'll handle it.
How long we keep your data
- Active account: as long as you're using the app
- Deleted account: removed within 30 days
- Payment records: kept as required by law
How we keep it safe
- Sign-in is handled by Sign in with Apple — we never create, see, or store a password
- All connections use HTTPS
- Database access is restricted
- Payment data never touches our servers — Apple handles it
Third-party services
- Apple — Sign in with Apple (authentication) and In-App Purchase (payments)
- Supabase — securely stores your account, journal entries, and photos
- RevenueCat — manages and verifies your one-time purchase (no card data)
- Google Fonts — serves typography
- api.qrserver.com — generates the QR code image when you share a Memory Jar link (only the share URL is sent, never your journal content)
Kids
The Little Big Days is for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
